PAWTUCKET, R.I. – The Little East Conference announced the 2017 Spring All-Academic teams recently, honoring 234 student-athletes in its seven spring championship sports, baseball, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, men's outdoor track & field, women's outdoor track & field, softball and men's tennis.
Western Connecticut placed 15 student-athletes, in five of the programs it sponsors during the spring, on this year's LEC All-Academic Team.
To be named a spring sport All-Academic, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or higher through the 2017 spring semester and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, following the 2016-17 season. The student-athlete must also be a full-time member of a varsity sport and be enrolled in its institution for a full academic year.
