DANBURY, CT - The Western Connecticut State University Athletic Department, behind graduating senior Celia DeVoe (Farmington, CT), and WestConn's SAAC, are looking for your help.
They along with several athletic programs around the Little East Conference and the northeast are running a Marrow Donor Registry Drive. WestConn's will be held on Thursday, March 2 from 10 am to 2 pm at the Midtown Campus Student Center.
Although those registered will help anyone in need of a bone marrow transplant, DeVoe and the Colonials are hoping their drive will find a match for Ally Little, a University of Southern Maine Huskies soccer player and Stoneham, MA native who was recently diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia. SAA is a rare disease in which her bone marrow tops producing healthy blood cells. A marrow transplant is currently the only cure for this disease and Ally does not have a match in the national registry.
YOU COULD CHANGE THAT !!!
Come out and register on Thursday, March 2 and make a difference.
