Raymond Cswerko Joins WestConn Swimming and Diving Staff

DANBURY, CT - Former NCAA Champion Raymond Cswerko has been named Assistant Coach for the Western Connecticut State University Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving programs.

Cswerko comes to WestConn after a stellar collegiate career at Southern Connecticut State University.  While and Owl, he was a four-time First-Team All American and 2014 NCAA Division II Champion in the 200-yard butterfly event.  That same winter, he was the runner-up in the 400-yard individual medley at the Division II nationals.

While earning his degree in Business Administration, Business Management, he was a three-time Northeast-10 Swimmer of the Year, a CSCAA Scholar All American and held eight SCSU records.

Cswerko joined the Colonials' staff, headed by 19-year head coach Jill Cook, recently and has been working diligently recruiting to get the newly developed men's swimming and diving program, which officially begins competition in this fall, up and running.

Since August of 2016, he has been the Head Swim Coach of the Watertown (CT) Parks and Recreation where he oversees 115 athletes as well as four assistant coaches.
