Norfolk, VA – June 21, 2017 – For the first time in the 95-year history of the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) more than 700 teams have received Scholar All-America recognition. Included among the teams was Western Connecticut State University’s Swimming & Diving Team.
DANBURY, CT - The Western Connecticut State University Athletic Department, behind graduating senior Celia DeVoe (Farmington, CT), and WestConn Student Athletic Advisory Council, are looking for your help. KINGSTON, RI - The Western women's swimming and diving team competed in Day Two of competition at the 2017 NEISDA Championships hosted by the University of Rhode Island on Friday. The squad of sophomores Annelise Alfieri (Southington, CT), Brianna Christiano (Prospect, CT), Rachel Peet (New Fairfield, CT) and rookie Olivia Wright (East Hartford, CT) led the Colonials as they finished a strong 400-yard medley relay. DARTMOUTH, MA – The Western women’s swimming and diving team doubled its point total from last year’s Little East Conference Championships as they captured fifth place at the 2017 Little East Conference Championships at the Tripp Center Natatorium on Saturday. DANBURY, CT – Junior Sarah Sheaffer (New Fairfield, CT) posted stellar scores of 172.35 and 186.52 in the one-meter and three-meter diving events, respectively, as the Western Connecticut women’s swimming and diving squad fell to visiting Hunter College, 129-82, on Saturday afternoon at the O’Neil Center.
