    DANBURY, CT – After falling to Little East Conference foe UMass-Boston on Friday night, the Western Connecticut State University women’s tennis team concluded its season with a 6-3 loss against visiting league nemesis Plymouth State on Saturday afternoon. However, the Colonials’ double squad of junior Carole Allers (Wilton, CT) and sophomore Emma Chapman (Danbury, CT) contributed all three points with their doubles and respective singles wins. The teammates closed out the 2017 slate with a doubles record of 12-1.

Junior Lianne Maynard (Milford, CT) was a late scratch from the lineup due to an injury after her doubles match, forcing the WestConn players in the lineup to move up a spot.
